Grant of Rights

  • Agreement made on the date indicated below between the owner of www.NathanBarra.com, hereinafter called the "Publisher," and myself (listed above), hereinafter called "Author." The parties hereto agree to as follow.
  • The Author assigns to the Publisher (and all representatives and successors) exclusive digital publishing rights to the work submitted above, hereinafter called the "Work," for the term of the copyright. The Author herein grants the Publisher the rights to distribute and advertise the Work. The Author herein grants the Publisher the right to archive and display the work through the duration of the copyright. The Author herein grants the Publisher the rights to reuse and redistribute the Work with proper citation and accreditation. These rights are granted throughout the world, in all languages.
  • The Publisher has no responsibility for the registration of the copyright of the Work beyond what protection is granted through the copyright on www.NathanBarra.com.
  • The Author represents, warrants and covenants that his is the sole and exclusive owner of the Work, and that he has full power and authority to grant said rights to the Publisher. Furthermore, the Author represents, warrants and covenants that the Work does not infringe upon any right of others, that the Work is original and not in the public domain. The Author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Publisher of any suits that shall be raised at any point in the future, in any court and reimburse the Publisher any court costs and reasonable attorney's fees incurred in such a suit.
  • The Author shall neither receive, nor expect the receipt of, any capital for the Work's digital publication.
  • The Author may request in writing that the Publisher remove the Work from publication on www.NathanBarra.com at any time before the date of publication or after one year following the date of publication. The Publisher agrees to honor such requests within thirty days of receipt. At such time, the Publisher no longer has the rights to publish the work further, but retains the rights for the Work as published in any medium before the receipt of the request.
  • The Publisher agrees to publish the Work within eight months of the acceptance of the final manuscript. In the event that the Publisher should fail to publish in this time frame, all rights revert back to the Author.
