"I needed to find a way to ensure that my creativity survived it's own success." Powerful words that resonate with me and any new author, I imagine. A friend of mine posted this TED talk over the weekend and I wanted to share it in case any of y'all missed it. I think Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love), tells some resonant stories and gives some practical advice.
"I loved writing more than I loved my own ego." It's the reason why we write, and Elizabeth claims that it is the key to writing again, despite failure and through success. But enough of me. Enjoy her words for yourself.
Go home my friends. I sure intend to.Tags: Thursday's Thoughts
